A quieter way to read.
Chapter & Vines began during a quiet season of my life — when reading became a form of grounding, and books felt like company.
I wasn’t looking to build something loud. I was looking to build something gentle.
A space where stories could be taken slowly. Where evenings could soften. Where reading didn’t feel like something to keep up with, but something to return to.
Why this exists
For a long time, I noticed something small but telling.
Men will often step into a pub alone without thinking twice — to sit, read, or simply be present for an hour. Many women don’t feel that same ease entering spaces on their own.
I wanted to create something different.
Chapter & Vines is built around the idea of safety, comfort, and belonging — whether you’re reading alone, arriving early to a gathering, or settling into a corner with a book and a glass of wine.
It’s a space designed to welcome, not rush.
What we do
Each month, Chapter & Vines curates one carefully chosen book, selected for its emotional depth, atmosphere, and staying power.
Depending on your membership, your delivery may also include small rituals — candles, paper goods, or thoughtful details — designed to help you slow down and settle in.
Members also receive early chapters from emerging authors, released gradually across the year, allowing stories to unfold in the same way life does: one piece at a time.
For readers — and for writers
Chapter & Vines is as much about people as it is about books.
For readers, it’s a calm, considered way to reconnect with reading.
For writers, it’s a space where early work can be shared, supported, and received with care — without financial pressure, and with genuine reader feedback.
I believe deeply in building something that gives back, not just takes.
Looking ahead
This is the beginning.
Chapter & Vines will grow into a physical space — a library café by day, and a wine bar by evening. A place for quiet reading, thoughtful conversation, and small gatherings that feel personal rather than performative.
For now, it begins here. With pages. With stories. With people who choose to slow down.
Thank you for being part of the beginning.
