Long Island
Long Island continues the story of Eilis Lacey, first introduced in Brooklyn, as she faces unexpected changes in her life decades later. When a sudden revelation disrupts her carefully built world, Eilis must confront difficult choices about family, loyalty, and identity.
Colm Tóibín’s writing is subtle and emotionally precise, capturing the quiet tensions that exist within relationships and communities. The novel explores the idea of home and how the places we leave behind continue to shape us.
